I was in the Army for 6 1/2 years as a 19K Tanker and deployed to Iraq twice. Stationed at Fort Stewart GA. Directly out of the Army I went to school at the Marine Mechanic Institute in Orlando FL. As I learned that school was an excellent way to get your foot in the industry, it had nothing on experience. Between time on the coast at a marina and working directly for Mercury Marine I was able to gain that experience. We then decided to start Veterans Marine Repair in 2018 and haven't looked back since!

Formerly known as Marissa Andrews, I am frequently asked if I am a Veteran, though I am not- I am married to Adam and appreciate all those who serve, and have served. My Dad was an Aviation Mechanic when I was young which was what made me decide after high school that I wanted to try being a "Boat Mechanic". I moved to Florida from New Hampshire to go to the Marine Mechanics Institute, after that I too learned that it only got my foot in the door to a dealership and there, I gained experience from a Master Technician, and moved up to working for Mercury Marine. In 2018, Adam and I decided to start our own business.
